Artist's Statement: My work is functional. I want my pottery to be handled, used and enjoyed. My passion besides pottery is an awe of creation. I frequently decorate with the patterns and forms of plants and animals. I have been involved in the raising of many wild animals, and their movement and constantly changing shapes intrigue and inspire me.

I try to achieve harmony and rhythm through the balance of light and dark: the positive and negative spaces. Rhythm conveys a sense of movement, drawing the eye around the pot and emphasizing its three dimensional nature.
