Artist's Statement: The beautiful Haliburton Highlands are the inspiration for much of my work. I used a medley of glazes that play together to create the harmonizing whole. Copper, black and blue mattes juxtapose the shiny gold and copper glazes. The cutout pine tree stands in solidarity as in the wild forests of the north.
