Artist's Statement: Free of expectations, aiming to express a gaiety in movement and a fleshy tension in the surface, these elements allow the outer structure to reveal its intent of female spirituality producing a continuity of form and outline.

Process

Once the body of the piece is established, the glaze is applied. The drawing is created using the sgraffito method of glaze removal. The drawing becomes a process of discovery, merging the movement of the drawing with the form of the piece.
