Artist's Statement: This vase is from an ongoing series of work that embody an attempt to instill the piece with an energy reflecting that of objects which have been sculpted by natural phenomena. I refer to these pieces as "scholar" works in that they are objects meant for contemplation and visually inspired escape from the routines of modern life.
