Artist's Statement: I work as a ceramic artist in Oakland, California, where there is a deep connection with 20th Century ceramic art history. Voulkos, Frey, Arneson and many ceramic giants lived and worked here (some were my teachers, as well). I see my works following their foot steps, continuing their traditions. This piece was made to honor the giants who contributed so much in the 20th Century ceramic history.
