Artist's Statement: This piece is wheel thrown porcelain fired to cone 12. I throw clean tight forms and energize the surface by pouring a black matte glaze on the white porcelain surface in biomorphic shapes. The patterns that are created create a graphic tension that are enhanced by the black/white contrast.
