Artist's Statement: The vase I have selected for this show is not the one that was originally planned - rather, it is the one that has engaged me more through its daily presence in my life. Through this engagement, I have come to appreciate its individual personality. The unrefined torn edge of the join at the waist speaks to me of the nature of the material.
