Incised Makovkin with studio mark. Condition:
No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Few scattered glaze pops and some volcanic
activity, which is all original. Natural factory crazing noted, as well as transcending

This massive mod globe form was created by listed Vasefinder Museum artist Sasha
Makovkin of Mendocino, California who exhibited at the Association of San Francisco
Potters and at the San Francisco Art Festivals in the 1950's. He worked for the
Heath Pottery Studio in Sausalito, California. We have found both stoneware and
porcelain pots created by this very important Northern California potter. This
