Raymond
Gallucci Altered Ewer Form Marked:
Incised Gallucci. Condition:
No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Everything about this pot is original
with its super ringing resonance. Dimensions:
5.75"h x 4"w(which includes handle) Notes:
Raymond Gallucci (1923-2004) was a student of William Swallow and Harold Mantz.
He is best known for his functional work, as well as large size mosaic installations.
His work is included in the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Smithsonian and James
Michener collection. I am offering here a well thrown ewer by this important Allentown,
Pennsylvania artist, which has been altered and decorated with a gorgeous pumpkin
and white symphony glaze. This is another great offering from Vasefinder.
