Notes:
The Vasefinder Vintage Gallery is very proud to list this rare set
of Pegasus tiles by important American Artist Wilhelmine Rehm. Rehm
was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and she studied at Smith College,
Cincinnati Art Academy and the University of Cincinnati. She had
ties to the Rookwood Pottery, where she worked as an artist for
over 10 years. She should be considered a transitional potter, whose
roots had ties to the Arts and Crafts Movement through the early
stages of the American Studio Movement, where she exhibited at the
Syracuse Nationals 5 times over her important career. This is a
rare offering of studio work that was purchased directly from the
Rehm Family, so the provenance is perfect. Dont's miss!! This set
would be a great addition in a WPA decor or Stickley era bungalow.
