Artist's Statement: I find the form dictates the surface more times than most, some pieces sit in my studio for months before I see the surface glaze or firing technique. In my Pierced Vessel Series, there was no waiting or deliberating. Naked raku along with various terra sigillatas was the answer on this piece. I used two terra sig white and terra cotta. It is pierced with key bamboo.
