Artist's Statement: Making things out of clay is who I am. I started making things out of clay before I started going to grade school. Clay has been my job and my pastime my entire life. I make things out of clay because I want to, because I should and because I have to. This vase and the series of potheads are because I want to. I enjoy the process of creation much more than the finished product. This guy was a fun diversion in an otherwise busy time.
