Artist's Statement: Living along the Mississippi river, I am influenced by the water, the landscape, and its people. My vessels are forged from a blending of these consequences. My pottery is fired in a wood-salt kiln to stoneware temperatures. I apply clayslips, metal washes and glazes to either greenware or bisqueware. Salt firing brings a certain harmonious effect to my vessels.
