Artist's Statement: "People often ask how I like being a studio art potter. I tell them there's more to it than they think. We try to not make the very same thing twice. It's hard on the body and the mind. You can't afford to be a day older or a day dumber. That's a real trick.

People also want to know how I make these exotics. It's not easy. Lots of testing with dangerous chemicals, lots of fire - some hot, some not so hot, kiln gods (intended to create faith in the unwashed), incantations (same reason), carefully recorded notes and a great deal of money. We consider the results to be the proprietary property of Rascal Ware. Pepsi doesn't give out its formulas and neither do we.
