Artist's Statement: First let me say I'm not a philosopher nor am I philosophic about my work. To me there is just the work. Form, texture and color are what I love. I can't be bothered considering its juxtaposition in the grand scheme of things. That would bore me to death. I just like to work in clay. I love the challenge of new ideas and techniques. I am constantly trying to improve my technical skills to be the best artist I can be. Let others wax eloquently on the quality of my work. Let them puff on their pipes and praise me or tear me down. To me there is just the work.
