Artist's Statement: I make functional ceramics so that you can hold it in your hand and enjoy the intimacy of scale and touch. When I am decorating or carving the pieces, I hold them in my arm as you hold a child and then I send them out into the world to make their own way. I hope the buyer enjoys them in the their home as much as I do making them.

My work is thrown on the wheel of cone 6 porcelain and then is altered with with carving repose, additions or combinations of those techniques. They are fired in an electric kiln to cone 6.
