Artist's Statement: I would describe my work as simple beauty. My primary focus is on functional ware with smooth lines and organic colors. I want my pottery to be used and enjoyed in every day life. I generally use small splashes of glazes to allow for contrast with the earthy bare clay. I choose to wood fire (with and without salt) because I love the energy wood firing gives to my pieces.
