Statement: Vases are one of my favorite forms as a potter, both to create and
to enjoy in other artists' work. The vase allows such freedom of thought, form,
personality and life. Simple or complex, large or small, conceptual or classical,
vases are such fun! In this piece, I worked with the classic vase form, incorporating
my love of textiles, pattern, and layering of surface details; finishing with
a salt/soda reduction firing. I hope you enjoy it as I do!
