Artist's Statement: I am drawn to the timeless classical symmetry which I find both soothing to the heart and quieting to the mind, yet it is important for me to embrace fluidity of movement in my throwing, as well as leave space for elemental magic through glaze choices and applications. It is both the tension and the harmony between the classical and the contemporary that I am attracted to and inspired towards. This vase is a humble attempt towards that end.
