Artist's Statement: I enjoy making forms with simple elegant lines. I feel that wood firing is the best process to accentuate those forms. The flame dances through the kiln depositing ash and highlighting the pots with color and texture. I usually have an idea how they will turn out, but I am often astounded or confounded by the results. The unpredictability keeps the process interesting and leads to further exploration.
