Artist's Statement: I have been a studio potter since 1974, and I delight in making pots for daily use. Much of my work is thrown, altered and then assembled with handbuilt additions. I often work in a series with form being my central interest. I continue to be intrigued by the interplay of changing form, proportion and volume within the framework of the functional pot. Forms are generally simple, but often with active surfaces. Fire, glazes and chance continue to offer me unending challenges and surprises. I look forward to the unexpected in my pots.
