Artist's Statement: I have a passion for clay and for excellence in creating work that is vital, unique, spirited, yet often, quiet and understated, allowing the material and processes to speak. I care a great deal about making the pots that are strong in form, beautiful and often playful. I work primarily in porcelain or stoneware, high fired in either my soda/salt kiln or wood kiln.

I love throwing on the wheel and worked for many years to develop this skill. I am constantly learning more about this amazing material, clay, and the mesmerizing, demanding yet enchanting process of transforming a lump of clay into an object of beauty.
