At the mere age of 13, Billy Moore sent a request to his hero Charles R. Knight to create a sketch of the Tyrannosaurus. Knight was so excited to hear from such a precocious youth that he even included a personal letter with his lovely rendition. In 1956, William Moore won the General Motors Fisher Body Craftsman's Guild National Exhibition for his car design. And in 1968, he accepted a position as Head of Design for Lear in Reno, Nevada. The wonderful landscape of Nevada with his love of history and almost superhuman attention to detail has molded this very complex artist. His paintings and prints of the West exhibit a fantastic and unique edge like no other artist we have met. Please take the time to review his on-line gallery, where he has outstanding art to purchase. | |||
