Artist's Statement: I've been doing a lot of production work lately to try and pay the bills. So it was a real treat to work on this. When I first started the drawing for the piece, I did not see the crab image at all. It wasn't until I began the clay work that I realized I was making crab parts. They are cool little creatures and strong too.
