Artist's Statement: This vase is an example of my interest in a new body of work involving cartoons/sketches of monsters and interesting creatures. This vase was fired with a group of potters interested in unlocking the potential of cone 6, and lower, woodfiring. This makes it especially exciting for me; a new form, new decoration, and new firing.
