Artist's Statement: My work in clay is a reflection of my life experience. It is a fusion of cultures of the images in my mind and of the beauty I have seen around the world. My pieces can be put on the table, cradled in the hand, put to the lip, and hold the food that sustains you or the flowers that beautify your home. My mission is to produce work that lifts my soul but that enter people's everyday lives. They can be functional or can just adorn. I want people to reach out to touch the surfaces and fondle the shapes.
