Artist's Statement: I have been a studio potter for 34 years, earning my living from my work in reduction stoneware and in salt glaze stoneware in the 80's.

My interest in Islamic reduced pigment lustre is inspired by my long friendship with Alan Caiger-Smith in Britain. I am the only maker of reduced pigment lustreware in North America; dedicating years of research into replicating 12 century glazes with contemporary materials.
