Artist's Statement: I like to work in a series, using different motifs. I start with a general idea and work to the ideal form and decoration. All my forming is done on the potters wheel (the same wheel I purchased in 1970).

My first work was very austere, but over the years the lines have softened and the surface has become much richer and more decorative. Change has been slow but steady. The decorative technique I prefer is sgraffito. I like the control.
