Artist's Statement: I draw influence and inspiration from my immediate surroundings. Living in a rural area near a large lake (Lake Winnipeg), I find myself naturally responding to water-like imagery. This piece attempts to emulate the constant flow of water at the lake's edge as it washes over the stones. Manitoba has some of the world's most plentiful sources of potable water. It is something we don't take for granted. This is my way to celebrate the life-giving gift we have.
