Artist's Statement: I love hand building basic cylinders, oval, and rectangular forms which can be embellished with various handles, rims and surface decoration. I often work on a series of 5 or 6 pieces at the same time that are variations on a basic shape. Retired from teaching ceramics and photography in 1998, I returned to teach ceramics part time at the community college. This was both a demanding and rewarding experience and pushed me into new areas of exploration.
