Artist's Statement: Salt and sawdust firing both produce random chaotic markings. By combining both on my pots, in separate areas, contrast is created which can be organized into patterns without destroying the vitality of chaos. This expresses my long term interest in order/chaos as one of the primary dualities in life and art.
