Phil Rogers

Phil Rogers was born in Newport, South Wales in 1951 and has been a potter for 35 years. Phil has had in excess of 50 one person shows and his work is included in more than 50 museum collections across the world including the Victoria and Albert in London, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts in the USA, The Museums of Contemporary Ceramics in Mashiko and Mino, Japan, The National Museum of Wales, The World Ceramic Center, Icheon, S. Korea and the International Museum of Folk Art in Santa Fe, USA.

Phil Rogers has written 4 books on various aspects of ceramics and has lectured and demonstrated in many different countries. A book about his work was published in the USA in 2007 while a 1 hour film of him working and traveling in the USA and Japan was made in 2010. He is represented in the USA by the Pucker Gallery in Boston and by the Goldmark Gallery in the United Kingdom.

Phil Rogers lives and works in Rhayader a market town set amidst the beautiful scenery of Mid Wales. He is married to Korean potter Ha Jeong Lee.
