Notes: 1970 First Edition. This 130 page soft cover book has extensive text and many photo's of pottery and well known studio potters from the late 1960's era. The text covers Clay types, sources, preparation methods, clay tests and more. There is an extensive glaze testing section covering formulas, compounds, stoneware glazes, colors in glazes, keeping records, test tiles, equipment, slip glazes etc. Kiln designs explored from burners, pit kiln and electric kilns.
